Peter Deal

Mr. Peter joined the Sistema Ravinia family in 2018, as a brass instructor, and currently serves as Associate Conductor for the Lake County nucleo. Peter Deal is a native of Urbana, Illinois, where he learned to play the trombone at age 10. He quickly grew as a musician, having played his earliest gigs at age 13 with his brother's jazz band. Peter is the Second Trombonist for the Adrian Symphony (MI) and is an active chamber musician in the Chicago area. Mr. Peter is the author of an extensive trombone method titled “An Incomplete Method for Trombonists.”
Emmy Rozansky

Ms. Emmy is an enthusiastic music educator and active freelance trombonist. She is adjunct music faculty at Alverno College and a teaching artist for Sistema Ravinia. Emmy holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in trombone performance from Arizona State University. Apassionate visual artist, as well as musician, she has written and illustrated a children’s book about the trombone, Mr. Fitch Joins the Band.
